Dog Ticks

You may think that it is hard and very time consuming to remove ticks on dogs, but it is actually not! Ticks on dogs could be easily and quickly removed as long as you know how to do it properly. You should be able to remove the ticks as quick as you can because these small pests could release unwanted bacteria unto your dogs! Ticks are without a doubt a huge problem not only for our dogs, but for us as well! It will cause great pain and irritation to your dogs as long as they are entrenched on their skin as they feed of your pet’s blood! Because of this, it could possibly spread lyme disease and even other diseases harmful to your pet too. It is very important to regularly check your dog for ticks. You might ordinarily see a baby tick larvae with the head exposed on your dog’s skin.

Lucky for you, removing dog ticks is quite simple and easy. However, you must not underestimate this process because proper and due care is still needed because if the tick you are trying to remove is a disease carrier, then your dog would have a higher chance of getting that disease when you improperly removed the tick! So you should be really careful when doing this. Having said that, I will give you a three step process to be able to remove the ticks on your dog as quickly and as simple as possible.

Step one: Go to the supermarket and buy a pair of rubber gloves. You should wear this throughout the whole process in order for you to be able to of course, protect your own skin!

Step two: Get yourself a pair of fine tweezers. This is very important because you need proper and due care and gentleness on your dogs.

Step three: Gently place the tweezers horizontally near the tick’s head and press it as close as you can get it to your dog’s skin then gently close and grip the tweezers so that you could make sure that you are getting the head of the tick and not the skin of your dog. Be careful not to jerk or twist the tweezers or else the tick might remain stuck on your dog’s skin.

Following these three simple and easy steps might sound easy but of course it would still require proper care and gentleness from you, so be careful!
